  • skip beat!

boonmily 3:51 pm on February 27, 2009 Permalink | Reply

skip beat is such a sucky show. typical harem shoujo love/hate/kyaness/unknowncrush kinda anime. i pity all fans of it. the only highlight is the nice voices of the male cast (ie sho and ren, who have no personality anway). which makes me feel sad and disappointed that the mogami (who is even worse) is a non-famous person. nevermind.

i will have a chance to display my fabulous monotoned voice on monday, during career conference where i will be emceeing for the architecture talk. looks foward to being bored. or would anyone prefer me not to speak in a monotone? hmm…i can be eloquent and convincing when i want to, like how i got as high as emily for la speech last year. ask anyone in my class about the cockroach speech. or at least those with good memories.

*dearly beloved, today we are gathered here to mourn the loss of sir furry black, a truly honorable cockroach. blahblah.* (can’t remember, and old computer crashed)

Ahhh. I’m not going for the architecture talk, sadly.

  • teachers’ blogs

boonmily 3:27 pm on February 26, 2009 Permalink | Reply

due to mr lim’s extremely dry and artsy blog, i thought all teachers did not divulge their personal life online (what sad, closed-up lives they lead) but i was proven to be grossly mistaken today. by my classmate, who i might add is a first-class stalker. or at least i would like to think she is.

anyway after browsing though chang’s blog (he periodically shaves off ONE eyebrow) which i found to be artsy as well, but not as well kept and a tad informal and airy (no content) as compared to mr lame’s, i veered to jones’s blog.

    this was interesting (:

i actually read though every single post. (i can’t believe myself. i have things to study for! like bio! which i can’t help falling asleep during because of the positioning of the periods, much like sec 2 history.)

he should conduct a sabbatical on sacarsm. or dry wit. or brit humour. i would sign up right away. definitely. i mean, regretting waxing his chest hair because he developed a rash? seriously. and the way he wrote about a certain very unfortunate ih teacher who is more accident-prone than me…

so teacher’s blogs are not all dry, artsy and (i don’t really mean this) boring.

also teaching 204 is described as drilling a diamond with plasticine and carving marble with a tissue. marvelous analogies. muahahaha. i just hope i don’t know anyone from that class (lest i burst out laughing when i see them) or they don’t know about the existance of the blog.

and apparantly there are all sorts of weird rules/thingums male teachers have to observe. which i found extremely amusing to read.

and no i’m not going to put the links up. go find them yourself. i’m told she got them off facebook, which i sorely hate and adamantly refuse to use.

i feel my stalkerishness has gone up a notch! huzzah! i shall start bring a voice recorder to aep lessons to get lame jokes/quotes starting next next wednesday.

and you wouldn’t believe, but i actually helped choreograph ( i think i spelled it wrong) my class’s dance. i shall speak in singlish and msn speak, in an attempt to be modest: a bit only lah! where got pro…just anyhow do only. pon cca mah. lol. (yes i hate people who speak/type in this way. that includes most of the people in school, including sotong, whose enggeriszh i find most astounding.)

AhahXD Indeed the last paragraph sounds quite sotong-ish XD

There’s little uh…traffic here these days! mah goodness….

Yes… That’s testament to the amount of schoolwork we have, isn’t it?

So which part of the dance did you choreograph? (I think it’s spelt correctly.)

annoying mr lim is really fun; very much like a sport. with a huge painful-looking rubberband where you stretch and stretch and see how far it goes befor snapping back and hitting you really really painfully. it’s also like taunting a kitten stuck up in a tree to jump down and scratch you. or repeatedly poking a docile…elephant(?) in the eye.

i think i probably shouldn’t use such analogies. or play with people’s feelings. or manupulate them to see what i’d get like it’s a science experiment.

    but…

    IT’S INTERESTING D:

I’M COMPELLED TO DO IT (:

actually yes. tingyi took some with her handphone. sometimes i hate having a surname that starts with ‘y’; it ensures you’re always at the back.

They were smiling? Ehhh. I didn’t notice. But I didn’t expect them to be stone-faced either.

  • macross has permeated the whole anime scene

boonmily 3:30 pm on February 12, 2009 Permalink | Reply

i was casually relaxing after finishing my bio as on GLUT and SGLT (how else would you relax) and real sayonara zetsubou sensei on onemanga. if you see the credits page of chapter 23, you’ll notice the itoshiki nozomu fanart has the exact same pose as ranka singing seikan hikou in macross frontier. heck there’s even a ribbon on the mike. it’s so…

    *KIRA!*

(if you don’t get what i mean go onemanga and youtube.)

seriously the extent of crossovers is horrendous. like the haruhi-ism phase a few years ago.

    sigh.
