i’m dying under the onslaught of melayu that i’m imposing on myself. here are some words which are…well…:
gum!: no it’s not chewing gum. it’s the sound of an explosion.
but: no it’s not the connecter. it’s actually boot. really interesting.
dinamik: i actually thought it was the passive form of namik. but no. it’s DYNAMIC. like bahasa cina has ka fei and sha fa and the stuff.
sooh: warm due to the many layers of clothing worn. har. har. har.

i’m dying here.

amazingly this online translator i found actually translates phrases into phrases. like bagai isi dengan kuku means very close, like the finger and fingernail. but it actually translated to as thick as thieves. /: what if you’re not proficient in english and am trying to learn it? how would you know what as thick as thieves means? maybe the poor soul would interpret it as wearing many layers of black clothing.
